Selling new and used books is one of the easiest ways to make money on eBay. The "Sell Your Item" form for books is simple and straightforward, as long as you input the right data and check your book against the system in several key areas.
Instructions:
1) Clean your book if it is at all dirty. Unbend any bent pages and wipe down the covers.
2) Look on the back of the book, and find the international standard book number or ISBN. Check the copyright page, and see if the book was written before the mid-1970s, if there is no ISBN. Manually input the title into the eBay sell page, if the book was written before that time and there is no ISBN.
3) Read the information that comes up in the stock information, which eBay stores about most books. Check to see if the information matches the book you have. Input the publishing date, number of pages and the genre of the book, if there is no stock information.
4) Describe any damage to your book. List in detail any defects to the cover, spine or pages. List whether the book is new or used.
5) Take a picture of the book if there is not a stock photo supplied by eBay. Upload a photo from a digital camera directly into the picture area on the listing form.
6) Decide on a shipping method and price. Type in the amount and any other shipping conditions you may have when you sell items. Include insurance requirements, as well as international rates if you use them.
