Searching past auctions on eBay can help you research what specific products sell for, as well as how often they sell. This can help you set pricing standards and auction reserves; it can also help prevent you from overpaying for an item. You can search through auctions completed within the past 90 days. The ability to search past auctions was once limited to eBay sellers. However, it's now available to anyone with an eBay account, whether they are a buyer or seller.
Instructions:
1) Visit www.ebay.com and login to your account.
2) Click "Advanced Search" next to the standard search box.
3) Scroll down and select the check box next to "Completed Listings Only."
4) Enter your search terms or keywords and click "Search."
5) Browse through the search results. To organize the results by "End Date," click on the arrow above "Results" and choose "Newest" or "Oldest."
Tips and Warnings:
Not all of the auctions listed in the "Completed Listing" search were sold. Items highlighted in red text were not sold; items highlighted in green text were sold via "Buy it Now" or to the highest bidder.
