How to Change All AdSense Colors

Google's AdSense gives website owners the ability to place revenue-earning advertisements on a website to earn money from ad clicks. Because AdSense advertisements correlate to your website content, website visitors often have targeted interest in the ads, making it more likely that they will click them. Experiment with the color of your AdSense ads to see what color attracts more clicks. Once you find colors that work for your website, change all AdSense colors within the Google website.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1)Log in to your Google AdSense account with your user name and password.

2)Click the "AdSense Setup" tab. Select "Manage Ads."

3)Select the AdSense ad you wish to modify by clicking "Edit Ad Settings" to the right of the ad name.

4)Find the "Colors" section and click the color box to the right of the ad items to change the color of each item. Click the color of your choice to select it. Set the colors of the "Border," "Title," "Background," "Text" and "URL" in the same manner. Alternatively, click the arrow to view the drop-down list of different palettes from which you can choose. Click any palette to select it. By selecting a pre-designed palette, each of the separate ad items will have a preset color within the palette.

5)Preview the ad by clicking "Preview this AdSense unit." If you like the colors, click "Save Settings." If you do not like the colors, adjust them and then save your changes.

6)Repeat the same process to change the colors of each ad within your account.

Tips & Warnings

Google suggests several approaches for setting AdSense colors. Some readers may be more likely to click ads that blend in with the colors of your website. Other readers may be more likely to click ads that contrast and stand out from your website. By changing the ad colors and monitoring your clicks, you can determine what colors work most effectively for your website.

How to Change an AdSense Account From Individual to Business

Google AdSense is an ad service from Google that allows you to place Google ads on your Web pages. The ads generate money once people click on them, and the money accumulates in your Google AdSense account. The earnings check Google sends you includes your full name; if you're operating an online business, you can opt to receive AdSense checks in your business name instead of your name. However, switching from an individual account to a business account requires you to open another AdSense account. You can change the AdSense publisher ID on your Web pages to reflect the change.

Instructions:

1) Visit the Google AdSense application page (see Resources). Fill out the application. Make sure to list your business name in the "Payee Name" box. All other information must match your business information.

2) Click "Submit." As long as there are no errors on your application, Google will send you an approval email once they receive and review your application.

3) Access your new AdSense account Web page. Look at the "Publisher ID" at the top right of the page. Replace your old publisher's ID on your websites with the new publisher ID.

4) Log in to your old AdSense account in order to cancel it. Copy the Publisher ID code. Navigate to the AdSense cancellation form (see Resources). Enter your name, AdSense email address and Publisher ID. Answer your security question and click "Submit."

Tips and Warnings:

You do not need to cancel your individual account if you do not wish to do so. The exact steps to change your publisher ID depend on your website.
