How to Embed Google AdSense

Google AdSense is one of the most popular online advertising programs for Web publishers who wish to earn revenue by serving ads on their site. The easily accessible program is free to anyone who owns and runs a website. All you need to do is to apply to the program and, once approved, you can log in to your Google AdSense account to create ads boxes for display on your site. The process is straightforward -- anyone with minimal knowledge of HTML can easily set up and embed AdSense ads in a matter of minutes.

Instructions:

1) Sign in to your Google AdSense account.

2) Click on the "AdSense Setup" tab.

3) Select "AdSense for Content."

4) Choose if you wish to display an "Ad Unit" which displays an AdSense box, or "Link Unit" which displays a group of AdSense links. Click "Continue."

5) Customize the look of your ad. The next page allows you to choose a theme and change the color and format of the ad. Click "Continue."

6) Add a channel to your ad. This allows you to group ads together easily and track their performance. You can choose to skip this step as this is optional. Click "Continue" to go to the next page.

7) Type in a name for your Ad unit. Click "Submit and Get Code."

8) Copy the code and paste it in the HTML of your Web page. Add it within the tags to make sure it is displayed. Save and publish your page online.

Tips and Warnings:

It may take up to 10 minutes for the ad to display on your site once embedded. If it has been more than 48 hours and the ad is still not appearing, contact Google Support to help resolve the issue.
